The main thing that's got me worried was when I read this thread on MLPF mlpforums.com/topic/188681-whos-leaving-youtube-after-2019/page/2/#comments I didn't undertand properly what these new rules were about before, it's not about protecting kids from watching innaproriate videos that are not for them, it's because google likes to collect data on people and this new law in the US prevents them from collecting data from kids, so any video that they think a kid may watch they want to classify as made for kids so no data is collected. Problem is they are marking down videos that aren't appropriate as being made for kids. Another problem is that if you say it's not made for kids and their bots decide otherwise then they may take action against your channel in the form of strikes or may try to fine you. Because of this I've marked my existing videos as being for kids so they don't do anything bad to my channel, but I'm not happy with this as although my videos don't contain anything bad, they are not made for kids and I do not want to make videos for kids.

This is the main video that gave me an understanding of the scale of the issue!
