I'm thankful for Slaking. I love its complete "IDGAF" vibe/look. Its huge Attack stat is nicely balanced by its ability, which can however be worked around. Its line is very interesting, and I like that it's from such an early point in the game. Norman's generally give me trouble (if they don't rely on Focus Punch the whole time!) and that adds to my respect for it. And as I've said, its animations in Colosseum after taking a hit - so endearing.

I'm thankful for Lapras, it's my favourite Ice type pokemon and has an awesome dinosaur/sea monster design, Lapras's character and role in Mystery Dungeon Explorers games was cool too

I'm thankful for Groudon. It's my fave "box legendary". Maybe it's mainly because it's the mascot of Ruby, but... well I just find it to be so powerful. It created the land, so I associate it with rugged terrain, mountains, you know... It's MASSIVE too, and it demands respect.

I'm thankful for Clefable, my favourite Fairy type pokemon and prior to gen 6 one of my favourite Normal type pokemon. Like it's design and theme of being from outer space, it's also a pokemon I've used in teams in a lot of games

I'm thankful for Metagross. While it's only a "third-tier" fave of mine, it has been HUGELY useful in various battle facilities over the journey. Plus it's my fave champion's signature 'mon, so... yeah. (Although I did initially dislike it... because it was so good against Blaziken. Classic 2004 self. )

I'm thankful for Dodrio. In Gen 1 - 3, it's a force to be reckoned with IMO. And I really enjoy using Tri Attack as a physical move. It was definitely not on my radar for a looooooooooong time, but these days I value it highly... generally while playing said earlier gens.

I'm thankful for Kricketune. It has one of the best calls EVA and you can get Metronomes from them! Also it can hit quite hard with physical Bug moves, and, well, I just like seeing something like Kricketune handling more imposing 'mons.

I'm thankful for Tropius. I strongly associate it with Route 119, and the piles of grass where I usually have Secret Bases. I love that it's essentially a dinosaur that flies using palm leaves. And it seems like such a peaceful Pokémon. Its defenses are good, it's got a great design... I have nostalgia associated with it. And I recently obtained a sitting plush of it (along with... several others... no I'm NOT sorry I spent so much on them!!) and I'm looking at it right now with its palm helmet covering its eyes, and IT'S SO CUTE.
