A thread specifically for discussing future video games. In specifics, news announcements, official trailers, leaks, rumors, predictions, and anything else that may fit into this category, can be discussed here. Once a game is released, either bring the discussion to the thread General Gaming Discussion, or make a new thread if you feel the game is worthy of such.

I just want to know if that FF collection rumor is true but I have to wait until FF VII turns 20 to find out.

Re. Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee...
I wanted to quote Midorikawa's post from Bulbagarden about these, because it perfectly sums up my own thoughts.... Yeah... I won't be getting a Switch yet. It's also the Go-influence that is... largely off-putting for me.

Yeah... I won't be getting a Switch yet. It's also the Go-influence that is... largely off-putting for me. I'm kind of put off by the go influence too and the changes in mechanics, I've never been interested in Go myself and never played it, would rather it had just been kept a separate thing on it's own. Revisting Kanto doesn't bother me too much, though it would have been nice to see another region again or a new one entirely. If the games are supposed to be influenced by Pokemon Yellow, I would have much rather they just remade the game for the switch properly and the game just be a full 3D HD remake of Yellow with the same core mechanics as the previous games and new pokemon being available post game like in Fire Red/Leaf Green. I've already got a switch and will still probably get the game and give it a chance but I'm kind of disappointed as it just feels like they're dumbing down the series which could be the start of a slippery slope if future games also follow this direction.

I watched the trailer for the new games today and they do look fun, but definitely not a reason for me buying a Switch.
In other news, SEGA also teased a new Sonic racing game under the name of Team Sonic Racing. I kinda wish we knew more than just that it's Sumo making it, and that Sonic and Shadow are present, but oh well.

Looks like a follow up to the Sonic and Sega Racing series but with more of a team work racing gimmick apparently but there's not a lot to go on so far. Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing and Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed were both really good games so hoping this one will be good too The name Team Sonic Racing kind of reminds me of Crash Team Racing which is one of my favourite games of all time and still the best Kart Racing game in my opinion, Sonic and Sega All-Stars Racing Transformed being a close second.
